Substack: Have Your Say!

Simple graphic: "Substack, have your say"

The interest in Substack within the writing community shows no sign of diminishing.

I have a feeling my audience is now divided broadly into those who already use Substack, and those who are worried that they should. While I’m never a fan of jumping on a marketing tactic because you feel like everyone else is, there is clearly something here to discuss.

Indeed, whether or not to use Substack — and if so, how to leverage its strengths alongside your author website — was a question that generated plenty of interest and discussion during the Ask Me Anything call that I hosted last week. (Find info here if you’d like to join us next time.)

I have a few concerns about the platform, but I know it has many fans, too. And I’ve only dabbled with the tool, unlike others who are regular and enthusiastic users. But I do know that my articles that offer help on integrating Substack with your Squarespace website (see below for links) are the most popular pages on this site.

So I’m planning to gather my favorite resources on whether or not authors should use Substack. As part of that, I’d love to hear from you.

Add a comment below to share your opinion of Substack

  1. As a writer or author, do you use Substack?

  2. What do you like about it?

  3. What reservations, if any, do you have?

  4. And please add your Substack link; I’ll be happy to credit you in my round-up article.

In the meantime, here are the links to the pieces I’ve already published about getting Substack and Squarespace to play nicely together:
